The break down of these statistics into year groups and by gender is only a first step. We will be providing a more detailed analysis soon and as more data comes in. Year groups with less than 1000 results need especially cautious treatment. It is likely that Year 10 will not be representative of the full cohort but pupils taken from those that have chosen to do GCSE or equivalent in computing related qualifications. The Year 6 sample is not yet representative of fully comprehensive cohorts.
